Braces can transform a smile when teeth are wonky, protruding, gappy or too wide. They’re no longer big, metal and obvious – today, they are virtually invisible, and they are not only for children. Orthodontists report that up to 30% of their clients are adults. Teeth can be too wide, making the face appear fatter, misaligned, or there might be diastema (space between the front teeth). Braces can change them all.
Invisalign uses a series of nearly undetectable aligners instead of wires and brackets. The clear aligners move your teeth, week by week, millimetre by millimetre, to the desired position. The process takes between six and eighteen months, and the outcome is usually permanent.
